Boiler/Burner Field Service Apprentice

The ideal candidate must be 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to perform the work as a Boiler Technician with or without reasonable accommodation. Pass with a minimal score of 80% on the Wiesen Mechanical Aptitude Test. You must be currently enrolled in, or willing to be enrolled in an approved vocational or technical training institution, such as Cuyahoga Community College Industrial Maintenance Technician Certification of Proficiency.
Training will be provided in the service of commercial / industrial boiler and burner systems. This includes natural gas and fuel oil combustion testing, adjusting of the fuel/air ratio on various boilers, burners, ovens, and incinerators. Candidate will also be trained in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial/commercial steam and hot water boilers, boiler room operation, and auxiliary equipment.
